3 WAYS TO SURVIVE ADULTHOOD

Adulting is hard!

Absolutely no one would say that in public right?

I mean unless you were a part of my friend group where we constantly talk about the struggles of growing up, there’s a chance you would hear that.

Not in an ungrateful type of way, but in a “this is a whole mess” type of way.

Let me take you back. Remember when you were a kid and didn’t have any worries, no pressing issues?

You could sleep in the car and someone would carry you inside. You will ride in the car and at night race the moon.

Yep, I’m talking about those days.

It just seemed so carefree.

What happened to those days?

Well I’m glad you asked!

Life happened, and you got older, and you realized that life comes at you fast with responsibilities you take on, and what others put on you.

Adulting is figuring all of that out. Some aren’t fortunate to have a support system or have those to guide their path, so it looks different for us all.

However you choose to be an adult, I feel as if there is no one catch all or one guide to it, because everyone’s lives are so different.

Everyone has grown up differently, so we all see the world differently.

Here’s what I do to remind myself to take it easy when adulting:

  1. Know that everyone has their own life, and it’s not a race it’s a journey. So pace yourself.

  2. Self reflect a whole bunch to see where I am, where I’ve been, and where I want to go.

  3. Learn and improve on how to get better at my life for me. You can only serve God and live your life for you.

I just want to encourage you to try adulting the only way you know how, because after all it is your life you’re living!

Tell me below, what’s one thing you wish you would’ve done differently in your adult life?
